🐾 See the Wild Frontier – From the Water
Step into a real, free-floating canoe and journey through the great untamed wilderness on a hands-on river expedition around Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island.
Named after legendary American frontiersman Davy Crockett, this 19th-century-style oar-venture lets you experience the Rivers of America the old-fashioned way—by paddle power!
🌊 What to Expect on the River Trail
Your 35-foot canoe—modeled after those used by Native American and early European explorers—holds up to 20 passengers and is guided by skilled river hosts. You’ll enjoy:
- 🏞️ Columbia Gorge’s stunning shoreline and five glittering waterfalls
- 🛶 The backwoods of Frontierland
- 🎺 The charm of New Orleans Square
- 🌾 A view of Chick-A-Pin Hill rising over Bayou Country
- 🐻 Wildlife like moose, beavers, and waterfowl
- ⛺ An idyllic Native American village tucked along the riverbanks
📸 Don’t forget your camera—there’s something magical around every bend!
🗺️ A Familiar, Yet Unique Route
The Explorer Canoes follow the same scenic waterway as the Mark Twain Riverboat and Sailing Ship Columbia—but your ducks-eye view and paddle-in-hand experience make it a voyage like no other!
